Day-by-day, Greater Phoenix continues to establish itself as a global citizen. You name it, we’ve got it: Mega-events, billion-dollar tech investments, a dynamic and eclectic culinary scene, best-in-class resorts, a beloved sports fanbase and more.

We’re the fifth largest city in the country, and as all of this continues to happen around us, we continue to show the world that we’re way more than a desert.

We can’t tell the story of place and destination without you, our members. There’s so much to talk about, and that’s why we can’t wait for you to join your industry friends and colleagues as we recap all the great things we’ve accomplished together for our 2023 Annual Meeting: PHOENIX: MORE THAN A DESERT

You’ll join Visit Phoenix’s President and CEO, Ron Price who will walk us through the growth of the city and region, the year we’ve had, and what we’re looking forward to. In addition to Ron, we’re excited to have our friends at Waymo in the house for the big day! You may not be familiar with the name, but we’re certain you’ve seen the white Jaguar SUVs with all of the cameras and tech moving around the city – Waymo is the world’s first fully autonomous ride-hailing service that launched here in Phoenix in 2018. Initially only available in Downtown Phoenix, Waymo continues to grow, and has bolstered their service area to include Scottsdale, Tempe and Chandler. Additionally, Phoenix holds the distinction of having the only airport in the world with fully autonomous ride hailing services at Sky Harbor International Airport. Waymo has been a steward of innovation here in the Sonoran Desert, and they were among the first anchors in our transformation into a burgeoning tech hub.
