Greater Phoenix Equality Chamber of Commerce: 2nd Annual Queer Holiday Market

The Greater Phoenix Equality Chamber of Commerce (GPECC) is thrilled to announce its 2nd Annual Queer Holiday Market, taking place on November 17th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Warehouse215, located at 215 E Grant Ave, in Phoenix. 

This vibrant holiday market celebrates diversity, inclusion, and the season's spirit, bringing together many LGBTQ+ and ally vendors. Attendees can expect a diverse selection of unique and locally made products, perfect for holiday gifting. One of the most exciting aspects of this event is that admission is entirely free, welcoming everyone to join in on the festivities. Early bird registration for vendors is available until October 13th, providing an excellent opportunity for businesses to showcase their products to a diverse and engaged audience.

Why Queer:
We know this word has been used negatively by those who wanted to hurt us. However, starting in the 80's, as a community we began to reclaim this word for ourselves. Today it represents inclusivity and power.

1. It is inclusive of the entire LGBTQ+ community's diverse membership.
2. It gives those of us who don't fit squarely into one category a safe place to exist.
3. It provides the space to explore identity as we discover who we are.
4. It breaks down binaries.
5. It brings us together as one community.
