Phoenix College Founders' Day In anticipation of PC’s centennial, Phoenix College has established September 13th as Founders Day; a day to honor and celebrate the first classes and founding of Phoenix College in 1920. Location: Flagpole in Front of the Hannelly Center. 1202 W. Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ 85013. Parking is available in the lot north of Thomas Road. Program - 9 am - Welcome & Flag Presentation Ceremony - Alumni & Partner Recognition - PC Choral Performance - Mayoral Proclamation & Founding Educational Philosophy Reading - Remarks by City of Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego & PC President Dr. Larry Johnson - PC Musical Ensemble Performance Immediately following the ceremony, a history of PC display and a reception will be hosted inside the Hannelly Center.
