Prop 104 (2015)

MAKING SURE THE ORIGINAL LIGHT RAIL LINE GOT BUILT

didn’t signal an end to PCA’s commitment to mass transit projects.

Description:

Making sure the original light rail line got built didn’t signal an end to PCA’s commitment to mass transit projects. When Prop 104–an initiative that aimed to boost sales tax for transit from .04 to .07 for a 35-year commitment–went before voters in 2015, PCA was a major force in the campaign, advocating to its membership and beyond that for Phoenix to become a world-class city, expanding our transit and increasing pedestrian connectivity was paramount. Prop 104 passed by a comfortable margin and those tax dollars will help pay for new light rail routes, expanded bus service, street repairs and transit infrastructure.

We are so grateful to join such a powerful organization making a true difference in the communities we serve.
